Feb 2026 Update: Bursary requests for NimbleFingers 2026 will be prioritized if they are submitted by Feb 15, 2026. Requests for NimbleFingers 2026 bursaries submitted after this date may be considered if there are remaining funds.

Supporting the musical development of our members is an important part of PBOMS’s mandate. Each year, the club offers bursaries to help members attend bluegrass or old-time workshops and other educational events when the cost might otherwise be a barrier. Recipients may include students, members on limited or fixed incomes, or others with limited disposable income.

Members are welcome to apply for a bursary at any time by sending a brief description of:

1. the workshop or event you would like to attend;

2. how you expect to benefit from the experience; and

3. how this bursary would help make it possible for you to participate.

If applications exceed the funds available, priority will be given to members who have not received a bursary within the past three years.
